The Monkey and the Magic Mango – Short Moral Story for Kids

Deep inside a colorful tropical forest lived a playful monkey named Miko. He loved swinging from tree to tree, teasing birds, and exploring new places every single day. But more than anything, Miko loved mangoes. Sweet, juicy, ripe mangoes!

One sunny morning, Miko spotted a glowing mango hanging from a tall tree he had never seen before. The fruit shimmered like gold, sparkling under the sunlight.

“Wow! A magic mango!” Miko gasped, eyes wide with excitement.

He quickly climbed the tree and plucked it. As soon as he held it, the mango spoke in a gentle voice.

“I am a magic mango,” it said. “If you share me with someone, I will grant you one wish.”

Miko was shocked.
“A talking mango? And a wish? That’s amazing!”

But soon, he felt worried.

“Should I eat it all by myself? Or share it?”

Miko sat on a branch, thinking hard. He loved mangoes too much to share. But he also wanted a wish!

The Hungry Parrot

Just then, a tired parrot landed beside him.

“Miko, do you have something to eat?” the parrot asked. “I haven’t eaten since morning.”

Miko looked at the glowing mango. His heart said, “Share it,” but his tummy said, “No!”

After a moment, Miko smiled and said, “Let’s share it.”

He cut the mango into small pieces and gave half to the parrot. The mango glowed brighter and brighter until—poof!—a soft golden light swirled around them.

“Your wish will now come true,” the magic mango said.

The Wish

Miko closed his eyes and wished, “I want food for all hungry animals in the forest.”

Within seconds, trees grew taller, fruits multiplied, fresh water flowed, and the forest turned into a paradise full of food. Animals danced with joy.

The parrot hugged Miko.
“You shared your food, and your kindness fed the whole forest!”

Miko felt happy.
“I’m glad I listened to my heart,” he said proudly.

Moral of the Story

Sharing brings happiness, and kindness always returns in wonderful ways.
